Hey guys, I am looking at a 1990 300zx TT with 150,000 miles. There are two issues that it has that I am unsure about. First a bit of background on the car: The car has sat for 4 years and thus it definitely needs new gas, oil change, and a complete tune up. Okay so now for the issues:
1.) there is smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe, can't tell if it is white or blue. I am guessing white but it smells of oil and it only smokes a lot when you first start it up and the smoke then isn't so bad.
2.) When I was driving it, you can feel the boost kicking in and it accelerates nicely until you hit about 4000 rpm. At that point it feels like all power is lost, but the rpms continue to increase normally. What are possible issues to both of these problems? could it simply need a tune up, new fuel/fuel filter, and new oil? or is the problem much worse?
